Our business employs around 1200 people across four sites in NSW and VIC, with our head office based in Bega, on the south coast of NSW.

A career opportunity has arisen for a suitably qualified professional to join our Technical Services Department in Bega as an Environmental Services Coordinator. This is a full-time salaried role with the primary focus of the position to assist in developing and maintaining the environmental management system (EMS) for the purpose of complying with legislated environmental programs and improving environmental performance.

Ideal candidates will have the ability to manage and track data for the preparation of reports for senior management decision making. You will possess well-developed computer skills, including Microsoft Office and be able to prioritise and execute multiple tasks, with minimal supervision. You will be capable of liaising efficiently and professionally with customers, suppliers and government agencies, whilst holding formal qualifications in Engineering, Environment or Science.

Previous project management and technical or related experience, preferably in the dairy manufacturing environment will be highly regarded.

Packaging Technologist - Dairy

This new position results from growth. It is pivotal function within the Group Technical Services Department, located in Bega. You will play and vital role in managing packaging development projects from concept, through trials to finished production. You will become the focal point for other internal departments and external packaging suppliers. Your responsibilities will cover a broad range of packaging material as well as legal labelling compliance, logistics and OH&S issues that affect Packaging. Excellent relationships are required with respect to external, strategic partners.

Together with relevant tertiary qualifications, it is envisaged you will have recognised technical and packaging project skills and at least three years experience, predominantly in a highly technical and automated packaging environment. Retail Product Manager – Dairy (Cheese)

Turnover is approaching $1 billion and employee numbers across five sites exceed 1,200; milk supplied by dairy farmers stretches from the NSW Illawarra district to Victoria's Western and Northern districts. With state-of-the-art manufacturing and production facilities located in both states, this wholly Australian-owned organisation with over 100 years of success, is poised for continued growth.

This new position results from 200% growth over three years. It reports to the Cheese Factory Manager of the Dairy Processing Unit in Bega and is responsible for staff involved in the development, packaging and manufacture of Retail Cheese products. In this role you will need to exercise many technical and operational initiatives on a daily and on-going basis. Personally, your people and communication skills will display a strong blend of management, mentoring and negotiating expertise.

Together with relevant tertiary qualifications, you must have practical, manufacturing experience of automated cheese production including HACCP, OH&S and BMP. A background in “String Cheese” and Mozzarella is sought and experience with sensory, organoleptic and grading techniques an advantage.
