Bega Cheese is set in an idyllic regional location where we are proud to operate two world class food manufacturing and packaging sites. Bega Cheese is a focal point for the region and boasts a superb location, being in a fertile valley close to the NSW Sapphire Coast, and just 2 ½ hours from the nation's capital Canberra and the snowfields of Thredbo and Perisher. The area is serviced by daily flights to Sydney and Melbourne from Merimbula airport, whilst by road Sydney is around 6 hours and Melbourne can be reached in 7 hours. Bega Cheese makes every effort to promote from within the company, thereby providing the best possible career prospects to existing employees. This policy necessarily means that by far the most common entry point for new employees is in production floor roles. The recruitment of Production Employees is managed directly by the Bega Cheese Human Resources Department, with suitable applicants identified in response to company advertising, direct enquiry or through referral via local Job Network providers. On occasion, where it believes it is in its best interests to do so, the company will recruit externally, either by advertising directly or retaining the services of a recruitment agency.
